  • How long have you been a member of CAR?

    • Just over 11 years.

  • In the past 3 years, what have you done to improve your skills as a real estate professional?

    • I have obtained my broker’s license and have taken continuing education classes.  I am also a graduate of Leadership CAR in 2014.

  • What is your history of service to the association and its members (committees, events, etc.)?

    • I have served on committees at both the state level and local level.  At the state level, I have served 3 years on the Government Affairs Committee, 3 years on the Board of Directors, and 1 year on the Nomination Review Task Force.  At the local level, I have served on the Professional Development Committee (education) for 11 years and Chairman for 1 year.  Served on the Professional Standards Committee for at least 5 years and Chairman one.  Served on Government Affairs/RPAC for 11 years and Chairman 2 years.  I have also served on the Budget and Finance Committee, served on the Business and Technology 1 year, and CARES Task Force 1 year.  I have attended 4 state Fall Conventions and 5 State Spring Conferences.  I have attended other meetings and events from time to time.  I am at least a 99’er member of RPAC.

  • Why do you serve at the association?

    • I believe that service is important in our industry.  Whether working in the advocacy area promoting property rights or laws effecting our industry providing education to the membership, to ensuring standards are kept, service should be a primary responsibility of a member.  It is for me.

  • Why do you want to be Treasurer?

    • I believe it is time for me to step up to the next level and take on a new challenge.  Serving as Treasurer/Secretary, I would be looking after the monies and finances of the membership of the association.  I take that responsibility seriously and with great humility.

  • What do you feel are your strongest attributes that you will bring to the table if elected?

    • I am passionate and dedicated.  I always look forward to going into work every morning.  I am not only dedicated to my business and my clients, but I am dedicated to my association not only as a member but as part of several committees and have been for several years.  I am honest.  I always say what’s on my mind and speak the truth regardless of the circumstance or the difficult spot that my put me in.  I am dependable.  I am a person people can always rely on without hesitation.  If someone asks for my help or for me to do something they can rest assured it will be taken care of.

  • What do you feel are your strongest attributes that you will bring to the table if elected?

    • To be a great listener, I hear people out, pay attention and demonstrate to others that you value what they have to say and take that into perspective.  I am not afraid to listen or take advice from anyone no matter how new or experienced they are, I treat them all as equals.  I encourage and inspire others to attain their own personal goals and reach their potential and get involved in the association and the community.  Involving each person in planning goals for the future and to make everyone feel like a valued member of the association and help to get them excited for new projects and to help them step out of their comfort zone.
