Candidate for the position of Director

Affiliated with Century 21 Platinum Properties

  • How long have you been a member of CAR?

    • I've been a member of CAR since 2004.

  • In the past 3 years, what have you done to improve your skills as a real estate professional?

    • I've been a proponent of continuing education throughout my career. This was instilled in me early on by one of my real estate mentors, Sheila Runyon. She encouraged me to get my ABR early on. This led to me getting other designations including the GRI & e-Pro. I just recently took the Pricing Strategies: Mastering CMA class, Professional standards class, Realtracs Advanced, Realtracs Tax class. I also attended the National Land Conference in Nashville, this past spring, which was amazing, and I am continually reading articles on real estate in my private time. I always encourage my teammates and fellow Realtors to get more education. You can never have too much and you always gain something from it.

  • What is your history of service to the association and its members (committees, events, etc.)?

    • In the past I have served on the Professional Standards Committee, Business and Technology Committee, Nominating Committee, and the Grievance Committee as the Chair,

  • Why do you serve at the association?

    • While I am very busy in my day to day business as a Realtor, I enjoy serving with like-minded individuals and helping to make life better for the next generation, as the previous generation did for me. We have some awesome Realtors on our Board and it is a privilege to be able to serve with them.

  • Why do you want to be Director?

    • I would like to be a Director to learn more about our Board and be available if called upon to serve our Board on a higher level in the future.

  • What do you feel are your strongest attributes that you will bring to the table if elected?

    • I feel like I am an open minded person and and outside the box thinker, which is what is needed for change sometimes. Sometimes the old way is good, and sometimes the old way needs to be tweaked or changed a bit.

  • Any additional statement or information.

    • Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to working with you in the future!
